Fri. 2 June (2.00pm) HERIOT WATT SCHOOL OF TEXTILES & DESIGN                                                                  DEGREE SHOW AND PRIVATE VIEW (by invitation)                                                                    Venue: Nether Road, Galashiels TD1 3HE                      (No arranged visit)                                      Showcases 4th year and Masters' students. Face to face with students.  Also digital.                              The B&D Prizewinner will not be announced on this date.                                                                  The Degree Show will run from 2 - 9 June.

WORLD TEXTILE DAY - SCOTLAND

NEWHAILES HOUSE and it's HIDDEN TEXTILE TREASURES                                                        Address: Newhailes Road, Musselburgh, East Lothian  EH21 6RY                                                      A lecture (about an hour) followed by a conducted tour of the house and its contents (1 to 1.5 hrs.) given by the NTS Regional Curator.

RIDING OF THE MARCHES, EDINBURGH                                                                                    Stand near the Mercat Cross (opposite the City Chambers) on the Royal Mile.                                  The procession ends with around 300 horses, led by the elected Edinburgh Captain and Lass, riding up the Royal Mile to the Mercat Cross where a Declaration is made to the Lord Provost and the City Banner is returned to him
