RIDING OF THE MARCHES, EDINBURGH Stand near the Mercat Cross (opposite the City Chambers) on the Royal Mile. The procession ends with around 300 horses, led by the elected Edinburgh Captain and Lass, riding up the Royal Mile to the Mercat Cross where a Declaration is made to the Lord Provost and the City Banner is returned to him |
